Imagine: John Lennon: Deluxe Edition is a documentary film by David L. Wolper and Andrew Solt. It is about the life of former Beatle and 1960s peace movement leader John Lennon who was killed in 1980. Although there are a number of documentaries available about the Beatles and John Lennon, this film enters new territory and brings plenty of new footage and sound, and is notable for the unprecedented level of collaboration with Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono. Much of the film's video footage is taken from a collection of 240 hours of film privately owned by Ms. Ono. Additionally, there are previously unreleased recordings on the soundtrack. The film is narrated by Lennon himself through snippets from his many interviews and autobiographical recordings, but also includes perspectives from other figures in Lennon's life such as his aunt who played a significant role in his upbringing, his first wife, and friends from his youth. A must see for any John Lennon fan.moreless
