In His Father's Shoes is a 1997 American drama film by director Vic Sarin, starring Louis Gossett Jr., Barbara Eve Harris, and Rachael Crawford. Fifteen year old Clay Crosby (Robert Ri'chard) is the spitting image of his forty-something year old father, Frank Crosby (Louis Gossett Jr.). When Frank dies of cancer, leaving Clay a special pair of wingtip shoes from their earlier visit to the shop Oddities in Venice Beach, Clay discovers that he has the power to travel back in time to his father's childhood! Whenever Clay puts on the shoes, he is transported back in time. And whenever he takes the shoes off, he returns to the present. During his time traveling adventures, Clay discovers a lot about his father'and himself.
