PG-13

Inception is a 2010 American science fiction action film by director Christopher Nolan, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, and Cillian Murphy. A variant on the heist genre, the film is about Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio), an "extractor" who enters others' dreams in order to obtain otherwise inaccessible information. Cobb's abilities, as well as questions about the death of his wife, cause him to lose his family and his nationality, but one day he is given the opportunity to regain his old life. All that he must do in exchange is plant an idea in a corporate target's mind, also known as the process of "inception." He agrees and ventures into the mind of the target, who is asleep under heavy drugs. What he does not expect, however, is that the target has been trained to resist those who enter through dreams and that his mental defenses manifest themselves as military defenses. Also, death in the dream could send their minds into a permanent limbo. Inception was well received, opening to great box office success.
