Incident at Loch Ness is a 2004 mockumentary from writers Zak Penn (X-Men: The Last Stand) and Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man) about the mythical monster of Scotland and a film crew intent on capturing the creature on camera. Acclaimed writer and director Werner Herzog agrees to take on a new project regarding the myth of the Loch Ness monster, a creature Herzog insists is a construct of human psychology. In an attempt to make Herzog's new film into a Hollywood blockbuster, Zak Penn is sent to produce the film. Penn, a career-minder director and producer, upsets Herzog, who is only interested in making an honest and artful film. As Herzog attempts to craft a commentary on humanity's need for legends and Penn attempts to create a big-budget monster movie, the film crew suddenly finds themselves in grave danger when the monster appears through the cold, murky waters. Incident at Loch Ness is an award-winning film that will have you guessing what is and is not real.moreless
