Movie Summary

Steven Spielberg

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is the second installment in the blockbuster adventure franchise, chronicling the further adventures of swashbuckling archeologist Indiana Jones. After nearly losing his life trading a small statue for a large diamond in Shanghai, Doctor Jones'  diminutive sidekick, Short Round  narrowly escapes with sultry lounge singer Willie Scott tagging along. Somewhere over India, their plane ride is sabotaged and they have to make an emergency landing by life raft. They find themselves at a small village where all the children have apparently been stolen, as has a sacred village rock that makes it prosper by the local evil Thuggee cult, that has found resurgence of late and is again practicing their horrific black arts. Jones and his team are then tasked by the village elders to retrieve their stone and their kids before they are sacrificed to the horrible devil god Kali.
