Indigo Hearts, an official selection of the 2005 Beverly Hills Film Festival, is a drama with an ensemble cast. At the beginning of the film Steven (Andy Allen), Bill (Tom Rees), Kerry (Renette Kaye Johnson), and Katie (Natalie Mariani) coincidentally meet at a Vegas chapel and each recount their personal stories of love and heartache, which are, as of yet, unresolved. All of them are married and their stories focus around the circumstances under which they got married at that chapel. Steven is a struggling rock musician. Bill is a former marine with current doubts and troubles regarding his service. Kerry is a mother navigating the waters of raising a handicapped child. Katie lacks roots and has recently been floating around America with other like-minded Bohemians. A common theme in each autobiography is that love can sometimes be brutal and the world tends to move on, whether or not one is ready for it.
