Infamy is a documentary film by Doug Pray and Roger Gastman that tells the personal stories of graffiti artists. The film attempts to give an accurate and uncensored portrayal of the personal struggles of typical graffiti artists. Special attention is also give to the motivations, emotions and pain that fuel their work and the reasons that they are completely okay with the idea of sacrificing their freedom to get a message across to the public. On the scene footage of the graffiti artists at work as well as personal interviews are used to give a firsthand perspective on the artists and their work. For a complete picture of the world of the graffiti, the film also includes firsthand interviews of a notorious anti-graffiti advocate who makes it his personal mission to buff out graffiti wherever he sees it, Joe Connolly, also known as "The Graffiti Guerrilla." Footage and testimony from New York City, San Francisco and everywhere in between shows the true nature of graffiti and leaves the tough question up to the audience.moreless
