1987

Innerspace is the comedic version of miniaturization classic Fantastic Voyage. Based on the notion of putting Jerry Lewis in Dean Martin's body, the story centers on the reluctant team of pilot Tuck Pendleton and grocery store clerk Jack Putter when they are thrown together by a fantastic twist of fate. Tuck is miniaturized in a top secret experiment and deliberately injected into Putter's rump to avoid falling into the hands of evil Victor Scrimshaw  and his team of ruthless henchman, led by Dr. Margaret Canker and Mr. Igoe, who has dastardly designs for the experiment. When Tuck succeeds in making contact with Jack from inside him, the two band together to get Tuck to the proper authorities and outrun the baddies before they can get their grubby hands on the technology needed to monopolize the oncoming breakthrough of miniaturization.
