Innocent Blood is a 1992 horror comedy directed by John Landis. It follows a beautiful vampire, Marie (Anne Parillaud), as she struggles to reconcile the nature of her monstrous ways with a desire to do no harm to others. She decides to feast only on the criminal elements of her Pittsburgh community so she can continue to survive without straining her guilty conscience. When she preys upon a powerful mob boss, Salvatore "The Shark" Macelli (Robert Loggia), she inadvertently turns him into a powerful vampire. He sees the benefit of immortality and begins sharing his abilities with his associates, including his lawyer Manny Bergman (Don Rickles). Together, they create the ultimate crime family: a vampire mafia. As they wreak havoc on the neighborhood, Marie vows to set things right. She teams up with an undercover cop, Joseph Gennaro (Anthony LaPaglia), to bring down this syndicate before it can turn Pittsburgh into a 21st century Transylvania of mobsters.
