Inside Out is a 2005 mystery thriller about an enigmatic psychiatrist disturbing his new neighbors. Suburban dad Norman (Steven Weber) lives in a quiet, upper middle-class neighborhood with his wife, Maria (Nia Peeples), and troubled son, Obert (Tyler Posey). When single Dr. Peoples (Eriq La Salle) moves in next door late at night, and then starts mowing his lawn, Norman immediately becomes suspicious. Along with his friend, Frank (Russell Wong), Norman starts to spy on the odd activities of Dr. Peoples, like the sounds of women screaming from his basement, either in pain or in ecstasy. At the same time, Dr. Peoples teaches Obert how to throw a baseball and earns the favorable attention of Maria, and Frank's ex-wife, Tyne (Kate Walsh). Norman and Frank invest in high-tech surveillance and discover that this Harvard-educated psychiatrist has lost his license. When Norman hears his wife Maria in Peoples' basement, his paranoia reaches new heights. Written and directed by David Ogden, this suspenseful suburban drama unveils the dark secrets and obsessions in a quiet California neighborhood.moreless
