Inside the Law is a 1942 comedic criminal drama directed by Hamilton McFadden and written by Jack Natteford. It tells the story of a group of old thieves suddenly turned into a small town's heroes after a strange bank robbery. Pop Cobb (Lafayette McKee) and Mom Cobb (Rose Plummer) are the leaders of a gang of old thugs who seem to have trouble settling for a peaceful life in a small town and still look for ways to return to their occupation. When they find an appointment as a cashier in the local bank inside an intoxicated man's wallet, the perfect opportunity for excitement and financial reward appears on the horizon. Their plan is to infiltrate their man into the bank and then collect the week's deposits later. However, after going to church on Sunday, most of the gang members decide it's time to settle for a more quiet and less chaotic life in town. Now their job is to stop the ones who decided to carry on with the plan, even at the risk of becoming the town's heroes.moreless
