Interstate 60 is a 2002 comedy that explores some unusual metaphysical issues while also providing drama and humor. O.W. Grant (Gary Oldman) is America's answer to the genie or leprechaun. He's a mystical being in a red bow tie whose initials stands for "One Wish." Although O.W. prefers to play tricks on human beings, he occasionally helps them out with his magical powers. Young Neil Oliver (James Marsden) lives in Saint Louis, working at a warehouse because his rich family refuses to support his goal of becoming an artist. He constantly has dreams of a beautiful muse (Amy Smart), but feels insecure and has trouble following his aspirations. On Neil's birthday, Neil and O.W. finally meet. Neil wishes for an easy answer to his questions about life. His father encourages him to go to law school, but O.W. has other plans. During a road trip on mysterious Interstate 60, which doesn't come with any road maps, Neil and O.W. encounter a series of strange and entertaining characters, including the girl of Neil's dreams. It eventually becomes clear that Neil has to follow his own unique path in life in order to find happiness.
