Interzone is an imaginative 1987 science fiction thriller about a post-apocalyptic tomorrow. A nuclear war has decimated civilization. Like many wandering survivors, Swan (Bruce Abbott) travels the remnants of the decaying world. One day, he comes across a monk named Panasonic (Kiro Wehara) suffering from a deadly snake bite. The monk insists that it was destiny that brought them together, because he was searching for Swan. A holy vision told him to find Swan, because he is the key to saving a secret treasure that protects the world from further nuclear disaster. This mysterious treasure is safeguarded in Panasonic's monastery, which is under constant attack from a rough gang led by Mantis (Teagan Clive) and Balzakan (John Armstead). As Swan and Panasonic make their way to the secret hideout, they save a lovely slave, Tera (Beatrice Ring) from a brutal auction, who joins their battle to save what is left of the world. Deran Sarafian directs this low-budget adventure with plenty of action and dashes of comedy.moreless
