Invasion U.S.A. is a 1952 film about the dangers of Communism set during the Cold War. America is under attack! Unidentified enemy troops are appearing on US shores and bombs are falling on US cities. The film tells the story of a group of Americans: Mr. Ohman (Dan O'Herlihy), Television news anchor Vince Potter (Gerald Mohr), beautiful young Carla Sanford (Peggie Castle), a Congressman, a rancher, and a rich Tycoon. Through their experiences, the audience is supposed to feel the imminent threat of Communism. Now considered an ironic cult classic, Invasion U.S.A. disappeared for a few decades after its initial success in theaters and subsequent success on TV through the 1960's. In 1994, it was featured on the comedy classic "Mystery Science Theater 3000," cementing the film's future as a camp experience. It was released on DVD in 2002. While it shares it's title with a 1985 Chuck Norris film, the two are completely unrelated.
