PG-13
Invisible is a relationship drama and thriller about a couple having marriage difficulties. Joseph (James Tupper) and Jane (Kit Pongetti) decide to drive to the lake to stay at their cabin before the dissolution of their marriage becomes final. On the way, Joseph almost hits a man at a gas station and is startled when he notices the same man following them. Joseph tries to ignore the worry that he feels, and he convinces himself that he is just seeing things. He and Jane have the opportunity to reconnect with each other at the lake, but it quickly becomes clear that they are in danger. Brothers Bobby (Joe Mellis) and Bep (David Mogentale) attack the couple and hold them hostage in their cabin. They believe that Joseph and Jane are the parents who abused them many years before. The couple must find a way to save themselves and rescue their troubled relationship.

Metacritic Score

  • 50

The New York Times Jeannette Catsoulis

A moody thriller with more emphasis on mood than thrills.

  • 30

    Variety Joe Leydon

Begins as a morosely melancholy study of a thirtysomething couple on the verge of divorce, then devolves into an unpleasant thriller about their confrontation with psychos.

  • 25

    New York Post V.A. Musetto

You will be so put off by the bland couple (what do you expect from people named Joe and Jane?) and their dumb arguing - not to mention the grating score - that you won't really care.
