Irreversible is an Italian movie starring Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel, and directed by Gaspar Noé, Bellucci's real life husband. Irreversible tells the story of the fateful night of a young couple, which starts with a brutal murder and ends with the start of a new day. The film's story plays out in reverse, hence the name, and is considered one of the most brutal and controversial films of the last few years. Marcus (Cassel) and Alex's (Bellucci) life is torn apart after a party, when a man brutally attacks Alex, and Marcus goes off in search of the attacker, looking for the ultimate revenge.
