Issues 101 is a 2002 romantic drama written and directed by John Lincoln that explores the controversial subject of sexual minorities among college students. Joe Phillips (Michael Rozman) just finished high school and is enrolled in a South Californian college. Joe is struggling with certain sensitive issues of finding a clear perspective on his sexual orientation. When he mistakenly accepts an invitation to join a Greek fraternity from a good looking colleague because he perceives it as an offer to go on a date, it stirs a lot of discussion and controversy among the fraternity brothers. Christian (Dennis W. Rittenhouse) is not confused by the misunderstanding and reveals that although he is not gay, he might have some issues that prevent him from being completely straight. Joe and Christian agree to meet on a date with an openly gay brother, Michael (Jeff Sublett), to share their thoughts and experiences on these issues. American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson makes her film acting debut in this film with a special appearance.moreless
