It Happened At the World's Fair is a 1963 musical romance directed by Norman Taurog. Mike Edwards (Elvis Presley) is a crop-dusting pilot who is in a tough situation. Mike has tried to be responsible, and set aside his meager wages as a way to pay off his debts. Mike's friend Danny (Gary Lockwood) is anything but responsible, and Mike soon learns that Danny lost all their money in an unfortunate bout of gambling. This means that Mike's plane is repossessed. When the two set out hitchhiking in the hopes of finding some odd jobs, they run into friendly Walter Ling (Kam Tong) and his pretty niece Sue-Lin (Vicky Tiu). Thanks to the help of the Lings, Mike and Danny wind up attending the World's Fair in Seattle, Washington. At the fair, Mike tries to forget his troubles by courting Dorothy Johnson (Yvonne Craig) and Diane Warren (Joan O'Brien), a nurse. Things get complicated when Walter disappears, meaning that Mike and Danny have to figure things out quickly if they want to get home and pay off their debts.
