It's a Boy Girl Thing is a romantic comedy film directed by Nick Hurran that focuses on the age-old battle of the sexes between two neighbors, Woody (Kevin Zegers) and Nell (Samaire Armstrong), who truly have nothing more in common than sharing a sidewalk. While Woody is a stereotypical raunchy football player, always out for the next piece of tail, Nell is a nerdy, quiet, and poetry-devoted nerd. When the two get into yet another fight during a field trip in front of an ancient Aztec statue, the two find themselves in each other's shoes ' literally. The two swap bodies and have to live the other's lives, much to their dismay. In a bid to destroy the other's reputations, Nell sets out to dorkify the jock while Woody tries to sexualize the quite virginal nerd. As their retaliations come to a head, the two decide to work together in order to get things right again. Can the two learn enough about the other in time for Woody's major football game and Nell's college interview with Nell? It's a Boy Girl Thing is all about the change in perspective with a high school twist.moreless
