It's a Pleasure is a 1945 American film directed by William A. Seiter and starring Sonja Henie, Michael O'Shea, and Marie McDonald. This comedic musical tells the story of Don Martin (O'Shea), an all-star hockey player that comes across hard times when he is barred from the league for punching a referee. With few employable skills off the ice, Don is able to get a job in an ice show. He trains with Chris Linden (Henie), who teaches him the graceful ways of skating as performance. The two hit it off and fall in love. Unfortunately, Don's alcoholism proves trying for the performing pair. Despite their marriage, Don is lured by another woman, and when his drinking and the allure of a woman are combined, he creates trouble in both his personal and professional life. As a three time Olympic gold medalist, Henie's talents are highlighted throughout the film. It's a Pleasure also stars Gale Fletcher, Gus Schilling, and Bill Johson.moreless
