Jamie Foxx Presents: America's Funniest Comics: Vol 3 is the third volume in a series in which actor and comedian Foxx returns to his comic roots. Although he is a skilled actor, his career started with the pioneering sketch comedy show In Living Color. The movie has an entertaining MC in Cedric the Entertainer. Cedric is considered one of the best comics in America and has won the AFTRA Award of Excellence in Television Programming for his Fox series Cedric the Entertainer presents. It was filmed in front of a live audience at the famous Laffapalooza comedy festival in Atlanta, Georgia. Foxx selects material from seven up and coming stand up comics, with an eye to freshness and humor. Performers include Donnell Rawlings, who has performed throughout Europe and has worked extensively on Comedy Central, Esau McGraw of The Big Black Comedy Show and controversiona, New-York based Louie Katz, amongst others.
