Jeff Dunham: Arguing with Myself is ventriloquist and stand-up comedian Jeff Dunham's first television special. Performing on stage in front of a live audience, Dunham performs alone for a short time before bringing out the first of his five puppets, Walter. Walter is a grumpy old man who served in the Vietnam War and hates his wife. Sweet Daddy D is next, introduced as Dunham's new manager from the street. Bubba J is a beer-drinking, NASCAR watching redneck. The fourth puppet is fan-favorite Peanut. Peanut is a manic ape-like creature from Micronesia. The last puppet in the special is Jos'' Jalape''o on a Stick, a jalape''o pepper with a think Hispanic accent. Dunham plays straight man to the puppets, who each have over-the-top personalities. Voted Ventriloquist of the Year twice, and Male Stand-Up Comic of the Year at the American Comedy Awards, Jeff Dunham has built a large fan base during a career that has spanned decades. Released in 2006, the DVD includes special features such as outtakes and audio commentary.moreless
