Jersey Girl is a comedy-drama film written and directed by Kevin Smith. In Jersey Girl, Oliver "Ollie" Trinke (Ben Affleck) is a powerful media publicist in New York City with a perfect life, a beautiful wife Gertrude (Jennifer Lopez), and a baby on the way. But when Gertrude has an aneurysm during childbirth and passes away, his life is turned upside down. Now a single dad, he has to raise his new baby daughter, Gertrude "Gerti" Trinke (Raquel Castro), by himself. When stress at home causes him to lose his cool on the job, and trash an important client (Will Smith), he can add 'unemployed' to the growing list of reasons why his life suddenly sucks. Forced to move in with his father, Bart (George Carlin), in New Jersey, Ollie reevaluates his life and becomes a loving father. When he meets the beautiful May (Liv Tyler), a store clerk at a video rental store that he visits with his daughter, his life changes again. And when the prospect of another PR job becomes quiet real, everything is really up in the air. With Jersey Girl, viewers will laugh, cry, and empathize with the very real characters and their very real trials and tribulations.

Sadly, Mr. Smith has made a movie so false and blatantly icky that it's the film equivalent of making goo-goo noises and chucking a baby under the chin for 103 minutes. At the end,...
