Jesse Stone: Night Passage is an American crime drama based on the Robert B. Parker detective series, the Jesse Stone novels. Night Passage is a prequel to the first film made after the series, Stone Cold. The film follows Jesse Stone (Tom Selleck) as he is fired from his position with the LAPD, for disorderly conduct due to a nasty drinking habit. Shortly after his termination he is contacted by the police department of Paradise, Massachusetts, a serene, pleasant town which borders the water. The department offers Stone a position as chief detective, despite his recent misconduct and tainted reputation. An excited Stone accepts the position and moves to Paradise to begin his work as a detective. But when he engages in the investigation of a seemingly average case of domestic violence, he accidentally unveils deeper and darker secrets regarding Paradise. Night Passage was directed by Robert Harmon and released directly to television in 2006. This film is for all those fond of crime-drama series and/or Tom Selleck.moreless
