Jesse Stone: Sea Change is a 2007 film starring Tom Selleck as Jesse Stone, the eccentric detective from the successful series of novels written by Robert B. Parker. The film takes place directly after the events of Jesse Stone: Death in Paradise. Jesse is feeling stranded and lonely, now without the ability to speak to his ex-wife nightly and without Molly around since she left the force to have children. Jesse has been dealing with the changes in his life by drinking heavily and too often, a bad habit his therapist warns him against continuing. In order to occupy his mind and keep him from the bottle, Jesse dives into some old unsolved cases. While re-examining a cold case from 1992, he finds new evidence that could lead to solving the crime. Jesse commits himself to finally putting the case to rest, but digging up the past leads to some hostile encounters with suspects. Jesse will have to tread carefully or risk upsetting the wrong people. Jesse Stone: Sea Change is a thrilling adaptation, and Tom Selleck received an Emmy nomination for his performance.moreless
