Jim Jefferies: I Swear to God is a 2009 HBO special with Australian comedian Jim Jefferies performing live at the Skirball Center at New York University in New York City. He opens the routine by making an argument that heaven might just be hell and continues to show he won't shy away from a sacred cow, taking on God, the 4-foot seven-inches tall Jesus and many biblical stories. Jefferies grew up in Sydney, Australia and honed his comedic skills in England. His first taste of stardom came after being attacked on stage during a performance at the Manchester Comedy Store. All of these experiences find their way into his comedy routine. He entertains the crowd with the difference between studs and sluts, explaining that "It's easy to be a stud." The one-hour show allows the comic to explore his hatred for panda bears, national health standards and taking his dad to see Australia compete in the World Cup. The HBO special was a follow-up to Jefferies appearance in 2008's Down and Dirty with Jim Norton.
