Joe Rogan: Live is a 2006 standup performance from the wide-ranging mind of this comedian, actor and TV host. Joe Rogan may be best known as host of the reality show "Fear Factor" or his commentary at Ultimate Fighting Championship matches, but this energetic performer combines sharp social commentary with energetic rants on a variety of hot topics. From his unusual take on Middle East politics to his criticism of rednecks, Rogan has a surprising and unconventional view of the modern world, family life and government policies. His ideas range from his support of marijuana use to a disbelief in Noah's ark. Though he played a thick-headed conspiracy theorist on "NewsRadio," Rogan makes an intelligent and detailed case for the use of psychedelic drugs and his concept that people are just a form of bacteria. This hour-long routine provides both humor and a thought-provoking view of the world, but may be best suited to mature audiences for its discussions of sex, drug use and adult language.moreless
