John McLaughlin, Larry Coryell and Paco De Lucia: Meeting of the Spirits is a documentary that captures a legendary concert by guitarists John McLaughlin, Larry Coryell and Paco De Lucia. Recorded on St. Valentine's Day on 1979 in Royal Albert Hall in London, England, the three world-class guitarists perform their compelling musical pieces to a standing, approving crowd. Performed in this concert are the songs "Entres Dos Aguas," "Lotus Feet," "Morning of the Carnival," "A Meeting of the Spirits" and "Guardian Angels." John McLaughlin, Larry Coryell and Paco De Lucia are all three considered jazz fusion guitarists. John McLaughlin performed with Tony William's band Lifetime before playing with Miles Davis on his album In A Silent Way, Bitches Brew, A Tribute to Jack Johnson, and On the Corner. He went on to found the jazz fusion band Mahavishnu Orchestra. Larry Coryell is an American jazz fusion guitarist. He has been recording and putting out music as a band leader since the late 1960s. Paco de Luc'a performs jazz fusion with a particular Spanish flair, being proficient in flamenco guitar playing.moreless
