John Wayne: Stagecoach Run is an American Western film released in 1939 about the infamous Ringo Kid (John Wayne). The Ringo Kid is traveling from Tonto, Arizona to Lordsburg, New Mexico on a stagecoach with several others and finds himself in the midst of Geronimo's warpath. In a wild run around of chasing, running from the villainous characters, lies and a new love interest the Ringo Kid has only one thing in mind, to avenge the foul deaths of his father and brother at the hands of Luke Plummer (Tom Tyler). Having knowledge that Plummer is presently in Lordsburg, New Mexico the Ringo Kid continues to tag along with the stagecoach to settle the outstanding matters once and for all. In a twist of occurrences the Ringo Kid falls unexpectedly in love with Dallas (Claire Trevor) and asks her for her hand in marriage; she gladly accepts under the promise that he will end his vendetta against the Plummers. The Ringo Kid reluctantly agrees but in this film you never know what is around the corner and who will show up next.moreless
