Journey to the Moon - The Apollo Story chronicles the monumental Apollo Missions. Including voice-over narration by Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins (the three Apollo 11 astronauts), this documentary gives space enthusiasts a glimpse into the dangers and difficulties of man's first steps on the Moon. Journey to the Moon - The Apollo Story shares the inner workings of the Apollo program, from the floor of the Vehicular Assembly Building to the orbiting of the Command Module just above the lunar surface. The stock NASA film, never shown on video, shows unprecedented glimpses of the Saturn V launch, the long trip to the Moon, and the difficulty in landing the lunar module on the surface, when Armstrong and Aldrin nearly ended the mission before landing. For an enthusiast of space, or the United States, this documentary reminds viewers that the Apollo Space Program was the meant to be the symbol of human ingenuity and exploration.
