Journey to the Seventh Planet is a clever 1962 science fiction film. The story centers around a group of astronauts, lead by Captain Don Graham (John Agar), appointed by the U.N. in the year 2001 to undertake a deep space mission to Uranus. They arrive at the 7th planet with expectations of a cold, desolate landscape only to find out that it is anything but. They are surrounded by lush greenery and a dense forest, similar to Earth's woodlands, though it's encased by a mysterious barrier. The crew is even more shocked when a group of beautiful and somehow familiar women appear. Strangely, the men's wildest dreams seem to take shape before them creating a surreal melding of childhood memories and current events. As they become aware of the oddities before them they understand that they are living in a fantasy world controlled by an unknown being bent on global domination. The crew must match wits with an intelligence the world has never known to save mankind and return to Earth.moreless
