Joyride is the 1977 story of three young adults who are bored with life. Scott (Desi Arnaz, Jr.), Susie (Melanie Griffith), and John (Robert Carridine), leave their humdrum existence in Los Angeles to embark on a life of adventure. They hit the road and drive to Alaska to find riches building the Alaskan oil pipeline. In Alaska, instead of finding wealth, they realize that building the pipeline is back breaking and violently hard work and they are not likely to make a fortune doing it. Instead of leaving Alaska and returning to Los Angeles, they give up working on the pipeline and turn to something more exciting, crime. Their dream life of wealth, turns into a life of robbing banks and running from the police. Step back in time to 1977 with souped up cars in action packed police chases and a lot of drama in this film directed by Jospeh Ruebin.
