Junked is an inspirational 1999 film written and directed by Lance Lane that focuses on themes of redemption and the struggles of street life. Bisexual hustler, Switch (Thomas Jane), is attempting to pull himself and his junkie prostitute kid sister, Nikki (Jordan Ladd), out of the cyclical dangers of black market culture and living below the poverty line in Hollywood, California. Their best friend, Jimmy (Channing Rowe), hopes to aid them in their quest but suffers the slowing baggage of his shady past. Switch's own past is not pretty and neither are the challenges that lie ahead of him and his band of codependents as he runs desperately from his dark past and the people who vengefully seek to balance their bills. Will willpower alone be enough to get the trio through their hardships? It seems it will take teamwork, cunning, vigilance and a bit of luck to get out alive.
