Just Like Heaven is a 2005 American romantic comedy fantasy film by director Mark Waters, starring Reese Witherspoon, Mark Ruffalo, and Jon Heder. Set in San Francisco, the film is based on Marc Levy's novel, If Only It Were True. The story is about David Abbott (Mark Ruffalo), a landscape architect who has recently lost his wife. When he moves into a new apartment, he meets a charming young woman, Elizabeth Masterson (Reese Witherspoon). But something isn't quite right: she may be sweet and beautiful, but even that doesn't change the fact that she can walk through walls and that no one else can see her! Now its up to Elizabeth and David to figure out what's going on'but will they figure out in time? And what happens when, along the way, they fall in love? Is this love doomed by fate, as well? Though Just Like Heaven received mixed critical reviews, it was a relative box office success.moreless
