The Kansas City Bomber is a 1972 action movie about a single mother who also participates in the brutal sport of roller derby. K.C. Carr (Raquel Welch) is a roller derby star who leaves Kansas City to join a team in Portland, Oregon. Upon arriving in Oregon, K.C. soon takes up with the Portland Loggers owner Burt Henry (Kevin McCarthy). K.C.'s relationship with Henry soon turns sour after she sees his dark, manipulative side. Henry not only causes K.C. to fall out of favor with teammates but trades her best friend and humiliates star male skater "Horrible" Hank Hopkins (Norman Alden), which causes him to lose his job. K.C. soon finds that Henry's goal is to set up a match between she and her rival and teammate Jackie Burdette (Helena Kallianiotes). Determined to beat Henry at his own game, K.C. must engage in a one on one roller derby showdown with Burdette. The loser must leave the team forever.
