Keaton's Cop is the story of one time mobster, Louis Keaton (Abe Vigota), who narrowly avoids being murdered at his retirement home. He identifies the assassin as a mob hitman and enlists the help of his old friend and police officer, Jake (Don Rickles). Jake brings along his partner, Mike Gable (Lee Majors) but regrets it at first because Mike isn't the sort who's peaceable about anything. He enjoys throwing crooks out of windows and has very little patience for anyone trying to waste his time. He immediately begins to dislike Keaton and makes it known. In a strange turn of events, Jake is killed by the mob hitmen and Mike is forced to put aside his grudges in order to protect Keaton from the hitmen and figure out who's behind everything. The twist? They have only 48 hours to do it. Directed by Robert Burge, this film once again shows off Abe Vigota's impeccable comedic timing.
