Kevin Nealon: Now Hear Me Out! is a 2009 stand-up comedy film that records the former Saturday Night Live funnyman performing in front of a live audience at the El Portal Theater in Los Angeles. The film is Nealon's first stand-up film recorded when the actor took time off from his hit TV comedy sitcom, Weeds, to hit the nation's stand up circuit. Kevin starts the night explaining to his audience the irony of certain catch phases like "Whatta gonna do?" and "Now hear me out." He tells the crowd that usually nothing good comes after hearing someone use those words, but he ends up using the negative phrases throughout his routine. Nealon also gives his audience subliminal messages throughout the show that include using words like "fire trap" and "slum" as he describes the beautiful El Portal Theater. During the show, Nealon talks about couples, raising kids and irritating relatives. He also reveals to the crowd that he's becoming a gourmet cook, learning how to cook with wine, which he drinks while he makes rice. Comedian Garry Shandling and Nealon's wife actress Susan Yeagley make guest appearances, joining the comedian in a few humorous sketches.moreless
