Kids In America is a teen dramedy based on real events that finds Holden Donovan (Gregory Smith) fed up with the Principal Weller (Julie Bowen) the principal at his school. Holden is fed up of the great lengths Principal Weller goes to to keep students from exercising their right to free expression and attempts to take a stand, only to find himself expelled for his efforts. With the help of teacher Mr. Drucker (Malik Yoba), Holden decides to use his dismissal to stand up for his beliefs by producing a documentary which takes a look into the lives of students who have faced similar issues. Holden enlists the help of a diverse group new friends including love interest Charlotte (Stephanie Sherrin), Lawrence (Alex Anfanger), Chuck, (Chris Morris), Walanda (Crystal Celeste Grant), Emily (Emy Coligado), and Katie (Caitlin Wachs) to help make a real change at Booker High with a peaceful protest.
