Killing Me Softly is a 2002 thriller about a woman who becomes involved with a man who has a mysterious and possibly dangerous past. Alice (Heather Graham) is an American woman living in London. Her life seems perfect as she has a good job and a solid boyfriend. Things take a sudden turn one day, however, when she meets Adam (Joseph Fiennes). The two have an instant connection and quickly fall into a romantic relationship, prompting Alice to leave her boyfriend. Within months, Alice and Adam get engaged and soon marry. Though she is happy, she becomes troubled when she begins receiving strange letters warning her about Adam. As she begins looking into it, she learns that a woman with whom he was previously involved disappeared one day and was never seen again. Alice begins to believe that Adam was responsible for the woman's disappearance and leaves him. She soon learns, though, that something even more nefarious has occurred.
