Kinamand is a 2005 comedy drama film that follows the tale of a plumber who is down on his luck. We meet Keld (Bjarne Henriksen), a plumber who is bored with his life, as things only get worse. His wife Rie (Charlotte Fich), who he has been married to for 25 years, desperately wants some excitement, and in a last-ditch effort tries to get him to take dance classes or go on a vacation with her. When he refuses, she has had enough of his apathy and divorces him. Keld's world comes crashing down, and soon his business fails and he is forced to sell everything. When he runs out of food, he takes to eating at the Chinese restaurant across the street, offering to help fix their pipes in exchange for meals. The owner gets to know Keld, and offers him a good sum of money if he will marry the owner's sister, Ling (Vivian Wu), so that she can get a visa. Down on his luck, Keld agrees. Will love bloom or will his new marriage be another disaster?moreless
