Kings Go Forth is a dramatic love story about two American soldiers fighting in France that fall for the same woman. During World War II, 1st Lt. Sam Loggins (Frank Sinatra) is stationed along the French Riviera, heading up a company that is without a radio man. When self proclaimed ladies man Corporal Britt Harris (Tony Curtis) arrives with the training and experience needed, he gets the job, and the two soldiers soon become close friends. On leave in the town of Nice, Loggins meets and falls for the beautiful Monique Blair (Natalie Wood), a young American woman raised in France, but she will not agree to see him; after persistent pursuit from Loggins, Blair admits that her apprehension to become involved with him was due to the fact that her father was a negro. Loggins, while initially taken aback with the news, learns to deal with it, returning to Nice, this time with Harris. But when Blair meets the smooth talking Corporal, she falls for him, and once again Loggins is left out to dry. A full scale love triangle breaks out, with the beautiful Blair coming between the two men, all the while engulfed in the fighting against the Germans in WWII. Delmer Daves directs this star vehicle for three Hollywood heavyweights, delving into as controversial a subject as there was at the time.moreless
