KITE: Liberator is a 2007 anime series (and semi sequel to 'Kite') directed by Yasuomi Umetsu. It follows an unassuming teenage girl named Monaka. By day she seems just a typical, semi clumsy high school girl with a part time waitressing job, but by night she's a deadly assassin known in Tokyo as the Angel of Death who kills her targets with unflinching precision and a scary sense of grace. She leaves feathers across her victims as her calling card, taunting the police who are trying to find out who she is, completely unaware that she's just a young, seemingly innocent girl. Monaka is without her family, as her father Orudo is an astronaut in outer space. Monaka's past is linked to a vicious murderous police detective and her future will lead her to a fatal duel with someone she truly loves...her own father, who's mutated into a space monster.
