Kovak Box is a psychologically driven science fiction film about an author that finds witness to a strange epidemic of suicide while on vacation. When critically acclaimed, best selling, control freak author David Norton (Timothy Hutton) is asked to go to the remote Spanish island of Mallorca for a writing conference, he figures it would be the perfect place to relax for a few extra days with his fianc' Jane Graham (Georgia Mackenzie). But a trip that starts off notably odd, with host Frank Kovak (David Kelly) asking for a second autograph in a Norton's first book, takes a downright disastrous turn when Jane receives a strange phone call and subsequently leaps off the balcony, plummeting to her death. When Sylvia (Lucia Jimenez), a woman who was on the plane with David and Jane, enacts a similarly suicidal jump on the other side of the island, the control loving writer suddenly finds himself grasping to find any sense amongst the confusion of this situation. With more and more people making the same leap, Norton delves deeper into this very strange phenomena; but as he becomes submerged into this surreal and bizarre world, the truth may be the most unbelievable possible explanation. Daniel Monz'n directs this thrilling look at just how reality can be stretched.moreless
