Krull is a 1983 fantasy film directed by Peter Yates. When a giant spaceship known as the Black Fortress descends to Krull, evil warriors known as Slayers emerge from it. Led by The Beast (Trevor Martin), the Slayers begin to lay seige to the planet. The two main nations of Krull decide to form an alliance so that they can defeat the Slayers together. To cement the union, Princess Lyssa (Lysette Anthony) and Prince Colwyn (Ken Marshall) decide to get married. When The Beast learns that Princess Lyssa is destined to have a child who will rule the entire galaxy, he is determined to stop the prophecy from being realized. The Slayers attack during the wedding and kidnap Lyssa, taking her back to the Black Fortress. With the help of Ynyr the Old One (Freddie Jones), Prince Colwyn goes on an epic quest to find the Black Fortress and retrieve the princess.
