Kung Faux, Vol 1 is video series featuring classic kung fu movies with overdubbed dialogue by popular Hip-Hop artists. One of the most influential records labels in Hip Hop history is Tommy Boy, with cutting edge artists like Biz Markie, Queen Latifah, De La Soul, and many more. But these music visionaries are clearly looking to create and conquer a brand new genre before anyone else gets a chance to jump on board. Taking the most beloved kung fu films, the artists add their own creative dialogue tracks, throwing in as much ridiculous slang as needed to make the films outrageous and hilarious. With creative minds like Roc Raida and Guru getting in on the action, these story lines will go anywhere, from botched pot deals to unexpected lovers quarrels. And the lingo is so underground, you may not even know what is going on at all. And of course, the soundtrack is full of banging new Hip-Hop songs, and viewers can shut off the dialogue if they like in Karaoke mode. Just like they always have, these experts in creativity have a gem on their hands with Kung Faux.moreless
