Kurt and Courtney is a controversial documentary that investigates Courtney Love's involvement in the death of her famous husband, Kirk Cobain. Director Nick Broomfield grabs his camera and heads to Seattle, WA, to investigate the death of his favorite grunge rock performer. Nick's film opens with a short biography of the rock star's life, which includes interviews from Kurt's aunt, Victoria Clarke, and Kurt's former friends. The director focuses on how good Kurt's life was before meeting his wife, Courtney Love. Nick soon finds the ex-private investigator, Tom Grant, who Courtney hired after Kurt's death. Tom speculates that Kurt did not commit suicide and that he was probably murdered. Courtney's father, Hank Harrison, backs up Tom's story, telling Nick that he thinks his daughter covered up a murder. The film then describes the couple's past drug addictions and the shady characters that hung around Kurt and Courtney at the time of the singer's death. The director also investigates the mysterious death of punk rock star, El Duce, who died two days after telling the National Enquirer that he knew who killed Kurt. Nick then heads out to an event where Courtney is speaking, and things start to get out of control after he asks her some tough questions.moreless
