After a famous judge is brutally murdered in the Sicilian town of Trapani, four reluctant cops are assigned as "La Scorta," a bodyguard team to shield the replacement magistrate from Mafia assassins. But soon, both the judge and his protectors find themselves dealing with daily threats of car bombs and ambushes. Meanwhile, personal conflicts and backroom betrayals jeopardize the team's solidarity in this Italian thriller based on a true story.
