Lady Behave! is a 1937 romantic comedy directed by Lloyd Corrigan. Paula Kendall (Sally Eilers) has always had her hands full trying to deal with her irresponsible little sister Clarice (Patricia Farr). Although Paula has never married, her little sister is wife to the equally irresponsible Michael Andrews (Joseph Schildkraut). Paula patiently waits her turn to find a husband, but her sister beats her again when Clarice comes from a Mardi Gras party and announces that she has married a second time. Paula realizes that Clarice might be arrested for bigamy and bring scandal to the family name. Since Clarice has to play innocent to Michael, Paula grudgingly poses as the new bride to millionaire Stephen Cormack (Neil Hamilton). Furthermore, since Cormack left town in a hurry and is seeking an annulment, it is up to Paula to move into the mansion and wait for the annulment to come through. Meanwhile, she tries to be a good stepmother to Cormack's unbearable son (George Ernest) and daughter (Marcia Mae Jones). By the time the ordeal is over, Paula will have a different view of married life.moreless
