Last Resort is a 1986 comedy in which George Lollar (Charles Grodin), a typical family man, takes his wife and children on a vacation to Club Sand. Much to his dismay, he finds that their tropical island resort is much less hospitable than he was led to believe. Unlike the brochures the food is atrocious, the staff are unhelpful and insolent, and their sleeping quarters are much less than satisfactory. George must also learn to cope with a duo of homosexual employees, Jean-Michel (Phil Hartman) and Pino (Mario van Peebles), whom he vehemently dislikes. Riddled with dread and angst, he struggles to make the most of a terrible situation. It is hilarious how he often finds himself in the worst possible position throughout his vacation. Surprisingly enough, however, his family manages to find a way to enjoy themselves. Supporting cast include Brad Lollar (Christopher Ames), Dorothy Cocoran (Ellen Blake), and Connie (Joycee Katz).
