Last Summer in the Hamptons is a 1995 feature film directed by Henry Jaglom. It contrasts the culture of Hollywood with the culture of New York theatre. The star of the film is Oona Hart (Victoria Foyt), a movie actress who is spending part of her summer with a large New York family at their country home in the Hamptons. Oona is hoping to trade in her Hollywood film career for New York's theatre life. The matriarch of the New York family is Helena Mora (Viveca Lindfors). When Oona arrives at the mansion, Helena's family is working on plans for the annual theatrical performance at their home. Unfortunately, the family is also in dire economic straits and they may have to sell their house. This creates a stressful environment for Oona, which is at times comedic and serious throughout the movie. Meanwhile, Oona starts to become aware of some of the family's dark secrets.
